Water quality matters when it comes to achieving a spotless finish. In the Phoenix metropolitan area, tap water can contain elevated levels of total dissolved solids (TDS), including minerals that may leave stubborn water spots on your vehicle’s paint, glass, and trim as the water evaporates.

That’s why Biff’s Automotive Detailing uses deionized (DI) water for our detailing services.

Deionization is a water purification process that uses specialized ion-exchange resin to remove dissolved mineral ions and other charged impurities. The result is highly purified water with a very low mineral content, helping reduce the risk of mineral deposits and water spotting during the detailing process.

Deionized water is used in a variety of applications, including laboratories, manufacturing, and professional automotive detailing. For vehicle care, it’s an important resource for achieving a cleaner, more spot-free finish.

Common dissolved ions that deionization can remove include calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, chloride, sulfate, nitrate, and other charged mineral species. The exact results depend on the water source and the condition of the purification system.

Producing and maintaining a deionized water system adds to the cost of professional detailing, but we believe investing in quality equipment and resources makes a difference. It’s one more way we work to deliver the high standard of care your vehicle deserves.

Every detail matters—including the water we use.

💧 Biff’s Automotive Detailing proudly uses deionized water across our detailing services to help deliver exceptional results.
